No. of days required for A to complete the work = 25 days.

Thus, part of work done by A alone in one day = 1 / 25.

Similarly, no. of days required for B to complete the work = 20 days.

Thus, part of work done by B alone in one day = 1 / 20.

So, part of work done by both A and B together in one day,

= (1 / 25) + (1 / 20)

= 9 / 100

But A leaves the work after 5 days of working together. So, part of work done by them together in these 5 days = 5 × 9 / 100 = 9 / 20.

Remaining part of work to be completed = 11 / 20. This part has to be completed by B alone.

Well, 1 / 20 part of the work is done by B alone in one day.

Therefore, 11 / 20 part of the work is done by B alone in 11 days.

Hence the answer is 11 days.
