Answer:

120/7 days

Step-by-step explanation:

A-30

B-40

L. C. M of 30 and 40 is 120

Capacity of A - 4

Capacity of B - 3

Together capacity of A and B = 3+4 = 7

Total work = 120

Total capacity = 7

Than put the value = work / time

= 120/7 Days

A piece of work can be done by
A in = 30 days
B in = 40 days

Work done by
A in one day = 1/30
B in one day = 1/40

Now when both work together then , work done by both of them in one day is
1/30 + 1/40 = 4/120+3/120 = 7/120
This means
The work done would be completed by them in
120 / 7 days = 17 1/7 days
