\Huge{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{ Solution \colon }}}}

A can do a peice of work in 4 days

Work done by A in 1 day = 1/4

Similarly, B can do a peice of work in 12 days

So, Work done by B in 1 day = 1/ 12

Now, According to the question we have to find work done together by A and B in 1 day

Adding together

 : ⟹ (\frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{12} )

 : ⟹ \frac{ \bold{3 + 1}}{ \bold{12}}

 : ⟹  \cancel\frac{ 4}{12}  =  \frac{1}{3}

⟹ \text{3 \: days}

Hence, They will finish their work by working together in 3 days

So, Option (B) is the correct answer
