ANSWER:-

Given:

A can do a piece of work in 40 days & B in 45 days they worked together for 10 days & B goes away.

To find:

How many days A take finish the remaining work.

Solution:

A can do a piece of work= 40 days.

A can do 1 day of work's = 1/40

B can do a piece of work= 45 days

B can do 1 day of work's = 1/45

Worked together for 10 days:

A= 10 × 1/40 of the work

A= 1/4 of the work.

&

B= 10 × 1/45 of the work

B= 10/45 of the work.

Therefore,

After 10 days:

Work \: done = ( \frac{10}{40}  +  \frac{10}{45} ) \: of \: the \: work \\  \\  =  >  (\frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{2}{9} ) \: of \: the \: work \\  \\  =  >  \frac{9 + 8}{36}  \: of \: the \: work .\\  \\  =  >  \frac{17}{36}  \:  \: of \: the \: work.

Now,

Remaining Work:

 =  > (1 -  \frac{17}{36} ) \: of \: the \: work \\  \\  =  >  \frac{36 - 17}{36}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{19}{36}

A worked 40 days, so

 =  >  \frac{19}{36}  \times 40 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{19}{9}  \times 10 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{190}{9} days

Thus,

A take finish the work 190/9 days.

Hope it helps ☺️

Answer:

21 1/9

Step-by-step explanation:

A one day work=1/40

Bone day work= 1/45

work together for 10 days

= (10*1/40)+(10*1/45)

=10/40 + 10/45

= 1/4+2/9 = 17/36

= remainingwork= 1-17/36

= 19/36

Aalone work= 1/40*36/19

= 21 1/9

I hope it is helpful to you
