Step-by-step explanation:

Work done by A in 1 day = 1/50

Work done by B in 1 day = 1/40

Work done by A and B in 1 day = 1/50 + 1/40 = 9/200

Work done by A and B in 10 days = 10×(9/200) = 9/20

Work left = 1-9/20 = 11/20

A lefts here.

As Work done by B in 1 day = 1/40

No. of days B will take to complete the remaining work = 11/20 ÷ 1/40 = 11/20 × 40 = 22 days.
