SOLUTION:-

Given:

A can do a piece of work in 20 days, B can do the same work in 25 days they work together for 5 days & B leave.

To find:

A finish the remaining work.

Explanation:

A is 1 days work= 1/20

B is 1 days work= 1/25

&

They work together;

(A's + B's) 1 days work

 =  > ( \frac{1}{20}  +  \frac{1}{25} ) \\  \\  =  >  \frac{4 + 5}{100} \\  \\  =  >  \frac{9}{100}

Therefore,

(A's + B's) 5 days work:

 =  >  \frac{9}{100}  \times 5 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{9}{20}

Remaining work:

 =  > 1 -  \frac{9}{20}  \\  \\  =  > \frac{20 - 9}{20}   \\  \\  =  >  \frac{11}{20}

So,

A's finishes the whole work in 20 days.

A's finishes 11/20 of the work;

 =  > (20 \times  \frac{11}{20} ) \ \: days \\  \\  =  > 11 \: days

Hence,

A's finishes the remaining work in 11 days.
