 A \:can \: complete \:a \:work \: in \: 12 \:days

 A's \: one \:day \:work = \frac{1}{12} \: --(1)

 A's \: 3 \:days \: work = \frac{3}{12} \\= \frac{1}{4}

 Remaining \:work = 1 - \frac{1}{4} \\= \frac{4-1}{4} \\= \frac{3}{4}

/* According to the problem given */

 As \:(A+B) \: complete \:the \:\frac{3}{4} \:work \\3 \:days

 \therefore \: (A+B)'s \:complete \:the \:whole \:work \\</p><p>in \: 3 \times \frac{4}{3} = 4 \:days

 (A+B)'s \: one \: days \:work = \frac{1}{4} \:--(2)

 B's \: 1 \:day \: work\\ = (A+B)'s \: one \: days \:work - A's \:one \:days \:work \\= \frac{1}{4} - \frac{1}{12} \\= \frac{3-1}{12} \\= \frac{2}{12} \\= \frac{1}{6}

 Hence, B \:can \: complete \:the \:work \\in \: 6 \:days
