1/12 + 1/8 = 20/96 = 5/24    of the work.

So, Work done by A+B+C = 1/4th of the work

5/24 + C = 1/4

C = 1/4-5/24 = 1/24

Therefore, time taken by C to complete the work is 1 divided by 1/24 which gives 24 hours.
