Work done by A in 1 day = 1/20
work done by A in 5 days = 1/20 × 5 = 1/4
work left to be done = 1 - 1/4 = 3/4
so B can finish 3/4 work in 10 days
B can finish the total work in 40/3 days
work done by B in 1 day = 3/40
total work done by A and B in 1 day = 1/20 + 3/40 = 1/8
therefore, A and B can together finish the work in 8 days.
