A can do a piece of work in 60 days.he works for 15 days and then b alone finishes the remaining work in 30 days. the two together can finish the work in

They toghether will take 24days to complete the work

Together they can finish the work in 24 days.

Given data :

A finishes in = 60 days

A Works for = 15 days

B finishes remaining work in = 30 days

Let,the total amount of work = 1

So, A finishes in 60 days = 1

A finishes in 1 day = 1/60

A finishes in 15 days = 15/60 = 1/4

Remaining work = 1-1/4 = 3/4

B finishes in 30 days = 3/4

B finishes in 1 day = 1/40

So,in 1 day

A+B finishes = 1/60 + 1/40 = (2+3)/120 = 5/120 = 1/24

So they finishes 1/24 work in = 1 day

They finishes 1 work in = 1 × 24/1 = 24 days (answer)
