A can do work in 10 days while b can do the same work in 12 days alone .if a and c can do same work together in 8 days then approximately in how many days b and b together can finish the same work

A can do work in 10 days while B can do the same work in 12 days alone .if A and C can do same work together in 8 days.

We have to find the number of days within B and C can do the same work.

   A               B            A + C

   10 days   12 days    8 days

Take LCM of 10 , 12 and 8 days. e.g., 120

A does (120/10) = 12 units of the work in a day.

B does (120/12) = 10 units of the work in a day.

A + C does (120/8) = 15 units of the work in a day.

∴ C does,  15 - 12 = 3 units of the work in a day.

now B + C = 10 + 3 = 13 units

no of days taken to do the same work by (B + C) = 120/13 days

Therefore 120/13 days taken by B and C to do the same work together.
