Answer:

A can do the work = 18 days

B can do the work = 18/2=9days

(A+B)'s 1 day work =1/18 + 1/9 = 1/6

=>in 3 days = 3×1/6 = 1/2 work is completed

\boxed {\underline  {\mathbb {FINAL\:ANSWER:-}}}

\boxed {work\:compleated\:in\:a\:day=\frac{1}{6}}

\boxed {\underline  {\mathbb {GIVEN:-}}}

  • A can finish the work in 18 days
  • B can do the work in half the time takes A

\boxed {\underline  {\mathbb {TO\:FIND:-}}}

what part of the same work can they finish in a day

\boxed {\underline  {\mathbb {SOLUTION:-}}}

A can finish a work in 18 days.

B can finish a work in 9 days.

So In one day  A can finish \frac{1}{18}  work.

and In one day  B can finish \frac{1}{9} work

So, working together the work can they finish in a day.

W=A+B

work=\frac{1}{18}+\frac{1}{9}\\\boxed {work=\frac{1}{6}}
