A can of milk is 3/4full.When 12 litres of milk is drawn from it , it is 5/12 full. Find the capacity of the can​

Answer:

Lets take the total capacity of the can as x

3x / 5 - 12 = 5/12           [ given ]

By solving it we get ,

3x/5 = 5/12 + 12

        = 144 + 5 / 12

        = 149 / 12

x = 149 / 12 × 5/3

  = 745 / 36

Hence the total capacity of the can is 745 / 36 L
