Step-by-step explanation:

at first we will find how much work they do in one day

so a = 1/9

and b=1/12

and to find out their total work we will add their one day work =1/9+1/12 =7/36

now we will reciprocal the digits

So,7/36=36/7

A do one work in 9 days so one day work

of A =1÷9

we can do one work in 12 days so one day work of B =1÷12

together one day work of A and B is-

1/9+1/12=(12+9)÷108=21÷108=7/36

7 upon 36 work can be done by both in one day so one work can be done in 36 upon 7 days .ans-
