Question :-

A canal is 300cm wide and 120cm deep the water in the canal is flowing with the speed of 30km/h.How much area will it irrigate in 30min if 8cm of standing water is desired ?

Answer :-

➪ 30 hectare

\huge{\underline{\underline{\mathbb{\red{Solution :-}}}}}

{\sf{\underline{\boxed{\green{\sf{green }}}}}}

Width 300cm=3m

depth 120cm=1.2m

speed of canal 20km/h

20×1000m/h

{\sf{\underline{\boxed{\red{\sf{ According\:to\:question}}}}}}

➪vol. of water flow in 1 hour ➾ width of canal ×depth of canal ×speef of canal water

➪3×1.2×20×1000=➾72000m³

in 20 in vol. of water flows ➾72000×20÷60 ➾24000m³

➪area irrigated in 20 min 2400÷0.08 ➾300000m²

➪30 hectare
