Answer: irrigation area is 56.25 hectares

Step-by-step explanation:

= The Volume of the water coming out in 1 hour of 6 m wide and 1.5 deep with speed of  (Speed = 10 * 1000mhr^-1 )

= 6 * 1.5 * 10000

= 90000 m^3

Therefore , the volume of the water coming out in 30 min

= 90000 * 30/60

Let the irrigated area be x m^2

standing water height be h = 8 cm = 8/100 = 0.08 m

Therefore , x * 0.08 = 45000 or x = 45000/0.08 = 5,62,500 m^2

since 1 hectare = 10000 sq.m

Thus , the irrigated area is 56.25 hectare .
