by his oppenent by a margin of 3,000 votes. I there
were only two candidates, find the percentage of votes
obtained by the defeated candidate.

winning candidate=56500

losing candidate=56500-3000=53500

%obtained by losing candidate =(53500÷53500+56500)×100

(53500÷110000)×100

On solving it u get :  

535÷11=48.63%
