Explanation:

Solution

Height of the object AB=1.6 cm

diameter of the ball bearing =d=0.4cm

→R=0.2cm

Given u=20cm

Weknow1v+1u=2R

Putting the values according to sign conventions

1−20+1v=22.0

→v=1 cminside the ball bearing.

Magnification =m

=A'B'ABvu

=AB200=1200

→A'B'=AB200+1.6200

=+0.008cm
