Answer:

a) Image formed (v)=20cm

b)magnification(m)= 0.40

Explanation:

To Find: Position at which Image is formed

                  Magnification

Given: Radius of Curvature=70cm

             u=-49cm ( object is placed to the  left side of the  mirror)

Solution: f= 70/2 =35cm

 1/f=1/u+1/v

1/35=1/v+1/(-49)

1/v=1/35+1/49

Thus,

v=20cm

For magnification,

m=-v/u

m=-20/-49

m=0.40

Thus, the image formed by the mirror is virtual, erect, and diminished.
