Answer:

Magnification = 1

Explanation:

As it is given that a candle is kept at a distance equal to double the focal length form the pole of a convex mirror.

That is candle is placed at distance of 2f from pole of a convex mirror.

We know,

2f = c

So,

Object is placed at center of curvature distance which indicates, Image size will be same as object.

Therefore,

Size of image = Size of object = u

As we know that

Magnification = \frac{size\ of\ image}{size\ of\ object}

Therefore,

Magnification = \frac{u}{u}

∴ Magnification = 1

Answer:

Answer should be -1/3

Explanation:

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

⇒ 1/v + (-1/2f) = 1/f

⇒ 1/v = 3/2f

v = 2f/3

Now magnification = -v/u  (for mirror)

⇒ m = - (2f/3) /2f

m = -1/3

Please vote a high five ;-)
