Step-by-step explanation:

vol. of the cuboid = 11 × 3.5 × 2.5

                              = 96.25cm³

radius of the candle = 2.8/2

                                  = 1.4cm

vol of a cylinder(candle)= 2 ×22×r×r/7×l

= 2×22×1.4×1.4/7×l

=12.32×l

since,

vol of both are equal

12.32×l= 96.25

l = 96.25/ 12.32= 7.8125cm

Answer:

15.625

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Dimensions of cuboid are,

11cm×3.5cm×2.5cm

Diameter of candle is: 2.8cm

Volume of cuboid=lbh

Replacing values l=11, b=3.5,h=2.5 in formula

Volume of cuboid= 11×3.5×2.5=96.25

  1. Volume of cylinder = pi× r square×h

=22/7×1.4×1.4×h=96.25

[since candle cast into cuboid but volume is same]

Volume of cylinder =volume of cuboid

22/7×1.4×1.4×h=11×3.5×2.5=96.25

6.16×h=96.25

H=96.25/6.16

H=15.625

[ therefore length of the candle is 15.625]
