A candy bar box is n the shape of a triangular prism. The volume of the box is 3,240 cm.
Part A) What is the height of the base
Part B) What is the approx. amount of cardboard used to make the candy box.
( Dimensions 15- side , 15-side, 24-on the base ,30-base)

Ouestion :

A ) What is the height of the base ?

Answer : Height of the box = 15cm.

You will get answer by using the Pythagorean theorem.

B ) What is the approx amount of cardboard used to make the candy box. ?

Answer : The amount of cardboard needed for the sides will be the lateral area = perimeter of triangle * hight of prisim

lateral area = ( 16 + 17 + 17 ) x 50 x 20 .

Lateral area = 1,000cm.
