A cannon ball is fired horizontally at 10 m/s from a cliff. What will be its speed after one second of being fired?

speed = distance / time
time =1
distance = ut + 1/2 at^2 as t=1 and u=0
                 =1/2 a [a=v-u/t] a=v=10
                     =1/2  *10
                    =5
speed =5m/s
