A cannon of mass 12000kgs located on smooth platform fires a shell of mass 300kg in horizontal
direction with a velocity 400m/sec. Find the velocity of the cannon after it is shot.

m1v= m1v1 + m2v2

1200×0 ×v1 +300×400

0= 12000+v1+120000

-120000=12000×v1

v1=120000/12000
