A canteen has raw material for the food that can last for 10 days for 150 persons. However, 50 persons move away. For how many days will the raw material last now?

∴ For 150 persons food, each day require \frac{1}{10} part of the raw material

∴ For each person food, each day require \frac{1}{10} . \frac{1}{150}  = \frac{1}{1500} part of the raw material.

Now 50 persons move away, number of persons left = 150 - 50 = 100 persons.

∴ For 100 persons food, each day require \frac{1}{1500} . 100 = \frac{1}{15} part of the raw material.

∴ For 100 persons food,  \frac{1}{15} part of the raw material will last for 1 day.

∴ For 100 persons food,  whole of the raw material will last for 1x15 days = 15 days.
