A capacitor in series with a resistance of 30 ohm is connected to a.c mains The reactance of the capacitor is 40 ohm calculate the phase difference between the current and the supply voltage​

Answer:

the phase difference = tan(fi) = reactance of the capacitor / resistance of the resistor

tan (fi) = 40/30

tan (fi) = 4/3

fi = 53 degrees
