Answer

  • Acceleration , a = 2 m/s²

Given

  • a car accelerates uniformly from 18 km/h to 54 km/h in 5 second

To Find

  • Acceleration

Solution

Initial velocity , u = 18 km/h = 18 * ( 5/18 ) = 5 m/s

Final velocity , v = 54 km/h = 54 * ( 5/18 ) = 15 m/s

Time , t = 5 s

Change in velocity , v - u = 10 m/h

We know that , " Acceleration is defined as rate of change of velocity "

Acceleration , a = ( v - u ) / t

⇒ a = 10 / 5

a = 2 m/s²

GivEn :-

  • A Car accelerates Uniformly from 18km/h to 54km/h in 5 seconds

To FinD :-

  • The Acceleration of the Car

SoluTioN :-

We Are Given with quantities

• Initial Velocity u = 18 km/h = 18*5/18 = 5m/s

• Final Velocity v = 54 km/h = 54*5/18 = 15 m/s

• Time taken t = 2 seconds

We Converted Km/h to m/s because SI unit is m/s

  • Acceleration a = change in Velocity / time

  • a = v - u / t

  • a = 15-5/2

Hence Acceleration a = 2m/s2

 \boxed{ \bold{ \red{★Hence \ a = 2 {m/s}^{2} }{} }{} }{}
