Answer:

54 km/h = 54 × 5/18 = 15 m/s (Converting speed in m/s)

Similarly, 108km/h = 108 × 5/18 = 30 m/s.( '' '' )

As we know that acceleration is the rate of change of velocity..

So here, 'a' = (30-15)/10

a = 15/10 ⇒ a = 1.5 m/s^{2}

Now,

       We know that, by 3rd equation of motion,

         v^{2} - u^{2} = 2as

Here,  v = 30m/s

          u = 15 m/s

and     a= 1.5 m/s^{2}

So,

(30)^{2} - (15)^{2} = 2 × 1.5 × s

900 - 225 = 3 × s  ⇒ 675 = 3 ×

675 = 3 × s  ⇒

s = 225 m

Therefore, distance travelled is 225m and acceleration is 1.5 m/s^{2}

Hope it helps you
