Answer :

  • Average acceleration = -2.7 m/s²

S O L U T I O N :

Given,

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0 km/h ⇒ 0 × 5/18 ⇒ 0 m/s.

  • Final velocity (v) = 50 km/h ⇒ 50 × 5/18 ⇒ 13.5 m/s

  • Time (Δt) = 5.0 s

To Find,

  • The magnitude of its average acceleration.

Explanation,

Formula for average acceleration is given as,

a = Δv/Δt

[ Put the values ]

⇒ a = (0 - 13.5)/5.0

⇒ a = (-13.5)/5.0

a = -2.7 m/s²

Therefore,

The magnitude of its average acceleration is -2.7 m/s².
