A car accelerates at 3m/s2 along a straight horizontal road. The mass of the car is 1000

kg. A forward force acts on the car in the right direction of magnitude 3500 N. Find

GIVEN

a= 3m/sec²

a= 3m/sec²mass= 1000 kg

a= 3m/sec²mass= 1000 kgforce in right direction= 3500 N

TO FIND

Magnitude of force in left direction= ?

Solution

Force = Mass  \times  Acceleration

Force = (1000 x 3) N

Force = 3000 N

3000 N force is acting from left direction.

Net force acting = f2 - f1

Net force acting = 3500-3000 = 500 N
