given,

initial velocity u=31 m/s

final velocity v= 0

displacement s= 130 m

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

0= 961 + 260a

a= - 961 / 260

a= - 3.7 m/s^2

v= u + at

0= 31 - 3.7t

t = 31 / 3.7

t = 8.38

I hope this will help you
