Given,

final velocity, v = 54 km/h

= 54 × 5/18 m/s

= 15 m/s

initial Velocity, u = 36 km/h

= 36 × 5/18 m/s

= 10 m/s

time, t = 10s

1) Acceleration = (v - u)/ t

= (10 - 5) / 10

= 5/10

= 0.5 m/s²

2) Using third equation of motion:

2as = v² - u²

=> 2 × 0.5 × s = (15)² - (10)²

=> s = 225 - 100

=> s = 125 m

Given :-

A train accelerates from 36 km per hour to 54 km per hour in 10 second.

To Find :-

1) acceleration

2) the distance traveled by car

Solution :-

We know that

1 km/h = 5/18 m/s

36 km/h = 36 × 5/18 = 10 m/s

54 km/h = 54 × 5/18 = 15 m/s

Now

We know that

a = (v - u)/t

a = (15 - 10)/10

a = 5/10

a = 0.5 m/s²

We know that

v² - u² = 2as

(15)² - (10)² = 2(0.5)(s)

225 - 100 = s

125 = s
