QUESTION :-

A Car Accelerates from 3\:ms^{-1} to 9\:ms^{-1} in 2 Seconds. What's its Average Speed?

SOLUTION :-

GIVEN :-

Initial Velocity (u) = 3 m/s

Final Velocity (v) = 9 m/s

Time Taken (t) = 2 Seconds

TO FIND :-

The Average Speed of the Car

FORMULA USED :-

\bold {Average\:Velocity = \frac{Initial\:Velocity + Final\:Velocity}{2}}

Substituting the Given Values of u and v in the above Formula, we get -

Average Speed \Rightarrow \frac{(3\:ms^{-1} + 9\:ms^{-1})}{2} \Rightarrow \frac{12\:ms^{-1}}{2} = \bold {6\:ms^{-1}}

CONCLUSION :-

∴ The Average Speed of the Car is 6 m/s
