Given :-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 5m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 13m/s
  • Time taken (t) = 4.0m/s

To find :-

  • Acceleration (a)

Solution :-

According to the first equation of motion

→ v = u + at

→ 13 = 5 + a*4

→ 13 - 5 = 4a

→ 8 = 4a

→ a = 8/4

→ a = 2m/s²

Hence,

  • Acceleration of a car is 2m/

Extra Information

  • s = ut + ½ at² (second equation of motion)
  • v² = u² + 2as (third equation of motion)
  • S.I unit of acceleration is m/s²
  • S.I unit of time is second

GIVEN :-

  • Initial Velocity[u] = 5m/s

  • Final Velocity[v] = 13m/s

  • Time[t] = 4 seconds.

TO FIND :-

  • Acceleration[a].

SOLUTION :-

We can use First Equation Of Motion.

Which is,

v = u + at.

So, Put the values.

➝ 13 = 5 + 4a.

➝ 4a = 13 - 5.

➝ 4a = 8.

➝ a = 8/4.

➝ a = 2.

Hence, Acceleration = 2m/s².
