Let "v" represent the maximum speed :

v=u+αt = αt

t = v/αt .....(1)

When deceleration begins :

Slope gives , deceleration .

0=v-β(t'-t)

β = v/t-t'

t-t' = v/β ......(2)

Adding (1) & 2:

v = tαβ/(α+β)
