Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Finding acceleration using the first equation of motion .

» v = u + at

Here ,

  • v → final velocity = 20 m/s
  • u → initial velocity = 0 m/s
  • a → acceleration = ?
  • t → time taken = 10s

Note :-

  • Here , the initial velocity ( u ) will be zero because the car is starting from rest .
  • Here , the final velocity ( v ) will be 20 m/s because the car starts from rest and ends with 20 m/s.

Substituting the values we have,

⇒ 20 = 0 + a(10)

⇒ 20 = 10a

⇒ a = 20 ÷ 10

⇒ acceleration = 10 m/s²

Hence , acceleration of the car = 10 m/
