a car accelerates uniformly from 18 kilometre per hour to 13 km per hour in 5 seconds. calculate the acceleration and the distance covered by the car in that time.​

1) Initial velocity (U) ->18km/h

Final velocity(V) -> 13km/h

time (T) -> 5sec

Now,

acceleration(a) = V - U/T

a = 13 - 18/5

a = -1 m/s

2) initial velocity (U) -> 18km/h

Final velocity (V) -> 13 km/h

now,

average velocity = U + V/2

V` = 18+13/2

V' = 31/2 -> 15.5m/s²

Distance travelled = V'× T

Distance traveled = 15.5 × 5->77.5km

Distance traveled = 77.5km
