A car accelerates uniformly from 18 km h –1 to 36 km h –1 in 5 s. Calculate (i) the acceleration and (ii) the distance covered by the car in that time. Also find velocity and displacements at 1s , 2s, 3s, 4s . Make observation table to show velocity an displacement at 0s, 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s. Draw velocity time and displacement time graph with the help of observation table

u = 18 km/hr

= 18×5/18m/s

= 5m/s

v = 36km/hr

= 36×5/18m/s

= 10m/s

i) a = (v-u)/t

= (10-5)/5

= 5/5

= 1m/s^2

ii) s = ut +1/2at^2

= 5×5 + 1×1×5^2/2

= 25 + 25/2

= 25+12.5

= 37.5 m

iii) v at 1s = u+at

= 5 +1×1

= 6

v at 2 = u+at

= 5+1×2

=7

v at 3s = 5+1×3

=8

v at 4s = 5+1×4

= 9

v at 5s = 5+5×1

= 10
