A car accelerates uniformly from 18 Km/h to 36 Km/h in 5 seconds. Calculate
(a) acceleration (b) distance travelled

Answer:

Intial velocity ,u = 18 kmph or 5 m per second

final velocity,v = 36 kmph or 10 m per second

time takent t = 5 second

Acceleration = v-u/t

= 10-5/5 m per second sq.

=5/5 =1 m per sec sq.

Acceleration = 1 meter per second sq

                                =36-18/5

                        =18/5=3.6m/s²

  •  distance= s

                       =v²-u²=2as

                      36²-18²=2×3.6×s

                     1296-324=7.2s

                                    s=972/7.2

                                   s =160m\s
