Let us convert the final velocity into it's standard form i.e.

\rightarrow \sf \:5m {s}^{ - 1}

Let's find the acceleration now. We know that, acceleration is measure of the change in velocity of an object per unit time.

★ Acceleration = Final Velocity - Initial Velocity/Time taken

→ a = \sf \dfrac{5 - 0}{5}

→ a = \sf \cancel\dfrac{5}{5}

→ a = 1 m/s²
