GIVEN THAT:

u is 18km/h

v is 36km/h

time is 5 second

find acceleration and distance???

first, convert 18km/h and 36km/h to m/s to make the calculations easy.

so,

18km/h is 5m/s after conversion and

36km/h is 10m/s after conversion

Note: divide the speed value by 3.6

Now,

v = u + at

10 = 5 + a(5)

a = 1m/s^2

therefore, the acceleration is 1m/s^2

Now, Distance

s = ut + (1/2) at^2

s = 25 + 1/2×25

s = 3/2×25

s = 75/2 m

s = 37.5 m

Therefore, the distance travelled by the car is 37.5 metres
