Given:-
A car achieves a speed of 40m/s by undergoing uniform acceleration of 5m/s² in 3sec.
To Find:-
Initial speed (u) of the car.
Equation used:-
Here,
u = Initial Velocity
v = Final Velocity
a = Acceleration
t = Time
Solution:-
Using, v = u + at
where,
v = 40 m/s
a = 5 m/s²
t = 3 sec
Putting values,
⟹40=u+5×3
⟹40=u+15
⟹u=40−15
⟹u=25ms
−1
Hence, The Initial Speed of the Car is 25 m/s.
