Answer:

2m/s²

Explanation:

Initial Velocity = u = 0

Final velocity = v = 72 km/hr = 72 x 5/18 = 20 m/s

Time = t = 10 sec

Acceleration = a

Equation of motion :-

v = u + at

20 = 0 + 10a

a = 20/10

a = 2 m/s²

Hope this helps you !

Answer :

  • 2 m/s²

Given :

A car acquires the velocity of 72 km/h in 10 secs after starting from rest

To Find :

  • Acceleration

Solution :

A/c , " A car acquires the velocity of 72 km/h in 10 secs starting from rest  "

So ,

Initial velocity , u = 0 m/s

Final velocity , v = 72 km/h

Since it is given final velocity is in km/h .So convert it into m/s .

To convert km/h in m/s , we need to multiply with " 5/18 "

Final velocity , v = 72 * ( 5/18 )

⇒ Final velocity , v = 20 m/s

Time , t = 10 s

Now , Acceleration ,

\bf a=\dfrac{v-u}{t}\\\\\implies \bf a=\dfrac{20-0}{10}\\\\\implies \bf a=2\ m/s^2

So , acceleration of the car , a = 2 m/s²
