linear momentum is the product of mass and velocity
pl=mv
since the momentum is the same for both therefor m1v1=m2v2 therefore m1/m2=v2/v1 since the truck is usually heavier therefore m2>m1 therefore v1>v2

Given that,

The linear momentum of a car and a truck are equal.

To find,

Out of a car and a truck which one is faster?

Solution,

The linear momentum of an object is given by the product of mass and its velocity. It is given by :

p = mv

m is mass

v is velocity

It is mentioned that, linear momentum of both car and truck are equal. So,

\dfrac{m_1}{m_2}=\dfrac{v_2}{v_1}

1 and 2 shows car and truck respectively

As it is understood that mass of of truck is more than that of car. So, the speed of car is more than truck. Hence, the car is faster.
