A car and a truck have the same speed of 30ms-1. If their masses are in the ratio of 1:3, find the ratio of their kinetic energy.​ Please send handwritten answers.

Explanation:

Given that ,speed of car = speed of truck = 30m/s

Also given that their masses are in the ratio = 1:3

So, we can assume their masses as 1x and 3x respectively

We know that kinetic energy(KE) = 1   × m × v²

                                                        2

ie, KE of car = 1   × x × 30²   = 450x

                       2

also, KE of truck = 1 × 3x × 30²  = 1350x

                              2

∴The ratio of their kinetic energy = 450x    =    1  

                                                         1350x         3
