Answer:

                             ANS IS 1;16

Explanation:

m1,v1 of car and m2,v2 of truck

AS THEIR KINETIC ENERGIES ARE EQUAL.THEREFORE

1/2M1V1*2

1/2M2V2*2         =1

SO V2*2/V1*2  =M1/M2 =16:1

..v2/v1  =  4 ..

so m2/m1 x v2/v1 = 4:64 =1:16 mark as brainlist

Hi,

Answer: 4 : 1

Explanation:

Let the mass and velocity of the car be “m” & “v”.

Also, let the mass and velocity of the truck be “M” & “V”.

Given, the mass of truck is 16 times the mass of the car, therefore,

M = 16 * m

According to the question,

[The kinetic energy of car] = [The kinetic energy of truck]

½ * m * v² = ½ * M * V²

⇒ ½ * m * v² = ½ * (16* m) * V²

Cancelling similar terms

⇒ v² = 16 * V²

Taking the square root of both sides

v = 4 * V

Now, the formula for Momentum is given by,

p = mv

Using the above formula, the ratio of momentum is given as,

[The momentum of the truck] / [The momentum of the car]

=  [M * V] / [m * v]

Substituting M = 16 m & v = 4 V, we get

=  [16* m * V] / [m * 4 * V]

= 16/4

= 4/1

Thus, the ratio of momentum of truck and car is 4 : 1.

Hope it is helpful!!!!
