Given :

  • A car starts from rest and attain the velocity of 10 m/s
  • Time taken is 10 seconds

To Find :

  • Acceleration of the car

Solution :

If a body starts from rest, it means initial velocity (u) is zero. u = 0 m/s. And the car attains speed of 10 m/s, it means final velocity (v) is 10 m/s. v = 10 m/s. Time interval is given as 10 seconds. t = 10 s

We can find value of acceleration using 1st equation of Kinematics

⇒v = u + at

⇒v - u = at

⇒a = v - u/t

⇒a = 10 - 0/10

⇒a = 10/10

⇒a = 1

\therefore Acceleration of car is 1 m/s²

Given:-

  • Initial Velocity of car (u) :- 0m/s
  • Final Velocity of car (v) :- 10m/s
  • Time (t) :- 10 sec

To Find:-

  • Acceleration of car(a) :- ?

Solution :-

Initial velocity of car is 0m/s becz it starts from rest and reach to final position in 10sec at 10m/s.

We know that,

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with respect to time.

\large\bold{\underline{\underline{\boxed{\sf{\purple{\dag \; Acceleration (a) → \dfrac{v - u}{t} }}}}}}

Put values in formula:-

\implies \sf{ a → \dfrac{10 - 0}{10}}

\implies  \sf{ \cancel{ \dfrac{10}{10}}}

\implies \sf{1}

\large\bold{\underline{\underline{\boxed{\sf{\purple{\dag \; Acceleration (a) → 1m/s^{2}}}}}}}
