Given,

Initial velocity (u) = 5 m/s

Final velocity (v) = 15 m/s

Time (t) = 5 seconds

To find,

Acceleration and displacement.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Let, acceleration = a m/s²

Displacement = s metres

Now, according to the kinematics formula,

v = u + at

15 = 5 + (a×5)

15-5 = 5a

5a = 10

a = 2

Acceleration = 2 m/s²

Again, according to kinematics formula,

s = ut + ½ at²

s = (5×5) + (½ × 2 × 5²)

s = 25+25

s = 50

Displacement = 50 metres

Hence, acceleration is 2 m/ and displacement is 50 metres.
