a car attains a velocity of 54 km per hour within 5 seconds from an initial velocity of 18 km per hour calculate its acceleration and displacement​

To find :

acceleration and displacement of car

Accelaration :

  • a =(v-u)/t

a is acceleration

v is final velocity

u is initial velocity

t is the time

velocity in m/s:

54km/h = 54*5/18

= 15m/s

18 km/h = 18*5/18

= 5 m/s

Solution :

a= (v-u)/t

a= (15-5)/5

a= 2 m/s^2

displacement = 7+9+11+13+15

= 55 m
