A car can finish a certain journey in 12 hrs at the speed of 50 km/ h . By how much should its speed be increased so that it may take only 10 hrs to complete the journey​

Answer:

Let the car cover distance D in journey

and the its speed be increased by x

we have to find the value of x

now,

CASE-1

in 12 hr at speed 50 km / hr

D= 600 km

CASE-2

D= 600 km

time = 10 hr

speed = 600 /10

= 60 km /hr

now for calculating increased speed

i.e. x = 60 km /hr -50 km /h

= 10 km /hr

so final answer is 10 km /hr
